Sui binari del design
Daniela Grandi e Davide Negri lavorano insieme già da diversi anni: all'inizio del 2002 i due giovani architetti danno vita allo studio DLiteproject.
Mettendo a frutto le rispettive esperienze, inisieme si cimentano nella ricerca sulle tecnologie produttive e nello studio dei materili. La loro attenzione è rivolta soprattutto alla creazione di strutture "leggere" - concetto evocato nel nome stesso dello studio - volte a semplificare la produzione e l'installazione dei pezzi. Il sistema per arredobagno Binario è una struttura flessibile, all'interno della quale possono essere collocati a piacere gli elementi funzionali: lavabo, mensole, specchio e lampade. Alla base l'idea di creare un sistema adattabile alle diverse esigenze dell'utente, che stabilisce al momento dell'installazione la collocazione degli elementi.
In particolare, la possibilità di collocare il lavabo a diverse altezze offre un'interessante soluzione anche al problema delle barriere architettoniche. Il sistema Binario è realizzato in alluminio abbinato a materiali semitrasparenti e viene completamente assemblato a secco.
Dopo essere stato esposto con successo alla manifestazione Salone Satellite, durante l'edizione 2003 del Salone del Mobile, il sistema si prepara ora a entrare in produzione.

Keeping Track of Design
Daniela Grandi and Davide Negri are two young architects who are been working together now for several years: at the beginning of 2002 they founded DLiteproject.
Drawing on the fruits of their respective experience, they have now been jointly involved in developing new production technologies and exploring new possible materials.
They are particularly interessed in creating "lightweight" tracklite structures (as their own project name suggest) in an effort to simply manufacturing and installation processes.
The Binario (track) bathroom furnishing system is a flexible structure, inside which a variety of functional elements can be installed: washbasin, shelves, mirror and even light fixtures.
The basic idea is to create a system to suit a variety of user needs, by allowing the layout of the various elements to be decided at the moment of installation.
And because the washbasin can be installed at different heights, the system is also a highly interesting way of overcoming the problem of architectural barriers.
The Binario system is made of aluminium combined with semitrasparent materials and is completely dryinstalled.
After the successful feedback from the presentation at the Salone Satellite exhibition during the 2003 Salone del Mobile in Milan, the system is now about to go into production.
